Bunny Hop Swap Reveal

I got paired up with a wonderful mom in Tennessee for a swap..Erin.  I signed up to do 2 swaps and both my packages came at the same time. lol
look...Erin used some of that awesome packing tape that I drool over but won't allow myself because I got a huge lot of packing tape at Sam's club and can find NO reasonable excuse to own more.  lol
What a fun way to pack a box.  She also used almost a whole sheet of pink paper to do the address label...very clever girl.
As soon as I opened the box I was so nervous that I had to sit down and take deep breathes.  I mean...this was my 1st swap.  This is me trying to overcome my anxiety...I'm so scared that I didn't do good enough.  Look...she figured out how to send an entire basket all wrapped up.  I was not that clever.
Would you look at how fabulous the ribbon is that she used on the packaging?

She put together such a cute basket!!  It was full of so many cute things.

I immediately put it all to work.  I used the lil wire birdie at my backdoor with my fav birdhose.  I ate the lemon cookies while wrapping bunny gift baskets last week, I hid some of the chocolate for myself.  I gave 2 dear friends some of her most beautifully packaged candy.  There are 2 ornaments that are adorable.  There is a tube of watermelon bath flakes.  I was so thankful to have her artistically wrapped candy to give when a dear friend popped in and I wanted her to leave with a Spring treat after heavy discussions.  It is hard being a mom sometimes...thank goodness for the Lord, blog buddies and friends that see us in the day to day.

Erin, I gave a dear friend's 15 year old daughter, Dakota, your lil M&M jar and it broke the ice for me to be asked by her to teach her how to scrapbook and embellish things with scrapbook tape.  This was a meaningful moment!  thanks for such a beautiful basket of treasures.  She got the basket and bath flakes.  Ya'll know I hid the Lindor's spring chocolates and won't let anyone have the matchbook eggs.

See what I did with the basket for Dakota that needed a blessing.
She's a basketball player so I got her a chocolate bunny with a basketball for like $2.80 at Big Lots.
I filled it with scrapbook stuff so she knows I'll come over and spend time with her soon.

Now...very scared to show ya'll.
This is what I sent Erin...
I used my love tissue because I don't have girls and no cute springy tissues.  I used my blessing ribbon and anointed her package and prayed for her precious family.
embellished tin with her name on it with mini office supplies inside...for her purse or book bag.  Some candy for her and her children (4 monkeys).  A pack of tissues for the ballfield.  I think of her every time I use mine at the field.  some stuffed eggs , a Mom's prayer book...

I found a cute animal eraser that I hope 1 of her girls will like.  She had blogged about cute shaped erasers...

fingernail polish, mini clipboards to use for gift tags or to embellish something.  The big gift is at the very bottom and I didn't get a shot of it all by itself.  Raspberry bath mousse and lotion to overcome a Tennessee winter and feel springy fresh.

I can only hope Erin liked her swap experience and I must swap again.  I gotta prove to myself it is ok to put yourself out there.  Glad to have a new blogging friend in Tennessee.

Monday fun day

Oh...this piece got my heart right off.
I went to a wonderful local consignment shop that is like a designer home store.  I try not to go more than 1 or 2 times a year.  This will be really neat used with my olden set of Blue Onion ~ Japan plates, as a centerpiece.  If any of you ever comes to H~town...I'll take you to this place.

blue ceramic love!
I adore the cut work details.  It was 20% off $4...so $3.20

Something else I adore...

Warms my heart every single time the neighborhood ends up at our basketball hoop.
I admit..I want them to stay out there and not all end up tromping all in my kitchen for their snack and lemonade.  Only 2 of them belong to me...why do I have to give 7 of them a snack?
Whatever you say, Lord...yes...I'll do it.

Lollipop Bouquets

Here is my picnic pal.
Have I told ya'll how much I love this dude?  He is my underbelly, girls...my soft spot!!  He has been thru so much in his 10 years.  He has had surgeries, eye therapy, dyslexic testing, dog attack, broken bones.  He lives out loud like his momma.  I made him come away from the computer game and enjoy the sunshine while I played with lollipops.

Ever since I got those 2 books from Colorful Images magazine, Candy bouquets and fruit bouquets, I've been on the hunt for little pots, jars and vases to have a good stash for the makings of my bouquets.  The pink pot (for fruit bouquets) I got for 50cents at a resale shop and the little jar was a pimento jar.  I saw Lady Katherine this week did some adorable lollipop centerpieces with Walmart lollies but I found mine at a Dollar Tree on the other side of town.  I could not resist the colors and shapes.  I bought $3 worth of pops and have had a blast with them.  I played 1 day in my craft room and made a bouquet for our neighbors.

I am showing ya'll how you gotta fluff the bouquet a little with tissue or something to cover up the lollipop sticks.  It is meticulous and time consuming work but I like the results.
And they did too.  I hear that the 2 sisters are fighting over who gets to keep the little 75 cent vase I used.
I like that for a few bucks you can make peeps feel special and loved.
Back outside...
I pop dot taped the top of the jar to the bottom and taped a scalloped paper cut out to the lid (now the bottom of the arrangement)  I tied a ribbon to the side of the lid.  I then carefully took pink tissue paper and tucked it into and around the jar innards (had to google the spelling of that word.  lol).  Very carefully I stuffed the inside of all the pink tissue with white floral foam from The Dollar Tree.  I had to slice and dice it to get pieces into this little jar.  You gotta have a great base to pic your arrangement into.

It was a lot of work for a little treat for a precious girl that is turning 13 next week.  Her little brother plays ball with my lil guy and I have a thing for her because she's such a great young lady.  Her mamma told me she loves these hair bands so me and little guy went out and picked her 3 of them and I had all the rest on hand to make a basket for her.

Just think...all this fun edible arrangement all because lil guy wanted to try 1.

A dear friend has had a birthday and she loves glass pieces so I could show ya'll what I got her to stuff in this Easter Egg looking box...do ya want to take a looks see?...

I piled a bunch of candy on top but it looks un-dignified so this is your peek.
I KNOW she will love it and she does not have to know that it only set me back $4 at BigLots.  They have a special "lot" in mine and this was 1/2 price.  She'd pay $30 for something like this and not blink.

Lil guys fav jelly beans are SweetTarts.

Picnic treat...yummo!!
