Sonic King

This has been crackin' me up lately!!
Sonic Kitty is letting Jack beagle know that he does NOT appreciate him chompin' down on his food everytime he walks away from his little bowl.  Sonic likes to have a nibble and come back later for a nibble...no such luck with a beagle around!!  He took his bed and smacks at him when he walks by.

Look how snuggy buggy he is and Jack Beagle is like...whatever, Dude!!

Moms totally rock

Awake, north wind, and come, south wind!
Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread abroad.
Song of Solomon 4:16

Moms work and toil in their gardens making everything fragrant and beautiful to behold.
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Phil 4:19
Moms who lean on the Lord have all good things given unto them to bless their households and beloved.

Your mother was like a vine in your vineyard planted by the water; it was fruitful and full of branches because of abundant water.
Ezekiel 19:10
A praying Mother blesses their children in the soul and brings abundance into every aspect of their children's lives.
Thinking a lot of being a Mother and all the blessings, heartaches and leaning on the Lord that it takes to do it.  Is it not amazing how much we love these kids?!  It makes me think of how much the Lord loves us and watches over us and gives us every good thing and longs to be near us.  My almost 13 year old has to be in just the right mood to cuddle or allow me to touch him or say back that he loves me too.  It is such a picture of God and how he longs for constant fellowship with us...his beloved.

Thinking too of my mother.  Having fun with the Mother's Day Swap.  My momma still calls me every single day at 4:00pm when she gets in her car to drive home from work.  She's gotta know I'm ok and that the day is going good.  I am fighting fibromyalgia and she prays and worries over me.

My dear G'ma Julia, me and my Momma, Leona

A Mamma's love....only 2nd to our Father...in Heaven!!

I'd love to highlight an awesome Mom.  I won the sweetest cupcake pin-cushion from her.  It came in a sweet lil box and was such a delight to receive. The Lord knew I wanted 1 and wasn't gonna make it for myself so...I won this.

Yes, I'm gonna stab it with cute pins..but I loves it!!

My dear new bloggie buddy is...Heather at Me Making Do.  She has amazing crafting skills and is very generous with photos and instructions.  She is the Mother to 7 blessed children!!

Outdoor small projects

Hubby and I got this for a wedding gift almost 17 years ago.  It was handcrafted for us to use outdoors as a bench or table.  Isn't that a great gift idea?  It is currently set on our front porch and holds decor.  My neighbor had given me her left over porch paint to maybe paint the ceiling of my porch a fresh Robin Egg blue.  So...
I dry brushed it on the bench just to freshen it a bit.  It really makes that curved detail pop.
I can see in the picture that it just looks white-washed white. ;-)

Remember the curb side chair I got the other day driving back from baseball practice..
They had even cut the picket pieces for the seat.  I happen to have already potted this flower and I simply set it into place and it still needed something.
So, I whipped up a sign with all kinds of scrapbook embellishments.  Of course, it says BLOOM!  The little tag says..Happiness must be grown in one's own garden.
I had the green crackled empty sign from Easter clearance at Hobby Lobby last year.  I got 2 this year that are oval shaped and bigger the same way...ready when I need them. lol

I snagged these at goodwill a few weeks ago for $1 and $2.  Must have been a Christmas item.  I just used a can of spray that I've had and..

got them ready for All Star baseball season and July decor.  I found these picks in the Hobby Lobby patriotic area.  I imagine I can make a floral or candy bouquet and add the picks in for a patriotic feel.  Fun!!

that's it at my cottage for now..go see others here:

Beauty Found this week

"He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights." 2 Sam 22:34

Hubby works at NASA and this is a ditch on-site on the way to..

The earth laughs in flowers!
Baseball Wonder's practice park.  They have a scruffy lil' Wildflower area.
That's my car and my pre-teen in the background. lol

This gorgeous park is surrounded by Clear Lake and many peeps were getting their wind sails out to enjoy the gorgeous evening.

I love when I drive by here and a dozen sailboats and wind sailers are out here.

Right outside my back fence line.  Beauty can be captured in a moment.

"The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your Lord." Psalm 45:11

She tried some awesome Etsy gourmet cookies at Sweet Treats Bakery and got the shoppe to sponsor a chance to win a dozen shipped right to your home.  If you need some Spring season stress relief like me...
go for it!  Winner will be announced April 30th just in time for a luncheon, tea party or brunch.

AND...
We must all need chocolate right now?!  Give-away of a lb of Tortoise chocolates!!

I would use these for a luncheon I need to put on for my Terrapin terrific prayer partners at youngest's school. ;-)

Ya'll have a Beautiful Weekend!!

Patriotic Reds

I found this cool inspiration for a July craft project.
It is a paper towel roll and some papers and
a vintage image.  Love it!!
It would be cute with star tinsel garland too, huh?

I found this image last month playing around.
It gets to me.
I feel like our freedom is being choked out daily.

This is cool for a patriotic wreath.

The 2 craft projects were gleaned from this web-site:

I've totally fallen in LOVE with Vintage imagery!!

Shout out to Banner Haus News for her recent revealing post that helped me find this web page.

I'm so thankful for freedom in America!!
I pray we are able to keep it!
May God bless America!

3 planter buddies

My precious lamb planter..all time fav!!
Got him antiquing in Galveston, TX several yrs ago.

Is this guy cute or what??  love him!!
Do ya'll think he's a beagle...I hope he's a beagle.  lol
Or he could be a bassett or weenie dog??
Got him junkin' in Friendswood, TX
Baseball boys got a hold of him, dangit.
Nothing is very safe in my backyard.
I had gotten him last Spring break at a fun Texas shopping spree in bluebonnet country.  He sure ran a close 2nd for fav.  The quality of him and the cute face.  I sunk him deep into a planter like all froggies and toads like to be.

I love planters because they are affordable art.  Each one is unique.  fun!!
And, I planted the lamb..I didn't put it off..he got a cute flower this Spring.
Maybe I'll use 1 to make a candy bouquet soon.

Look girls..I used my brain and put the gardening gloves to use that my hubby got me in February for my b-day.  It kept me from lots of splinters and muck..don't they look well used?  lol

BLOOM...you wonderful girls!!

Bloomin and the winner is..

Girls...don't you just want to run out into the ditches and beside the road and capture enough wild flowers pictures to fill a calendar of months?!  I need to do it over by my oldest's school.  God is so good he puts beauty by the roadside right near the cup someone threw out their window. :0)

We got some bloomin' going on at the cottage.

Still need to do the back straining job of finishing the weeding and mulching.

Well, we stuck 34 beautiful names in a pot and ...
The Winner of the tassel that was worth the hassel...

for Monday April 19th:
The shuttle is scheduled to enter Earth's atmosphere over the central Pacific Ocean at 8:17 a.m. EDT and should be visible over Montana about a half hour before landing.

100 Followers give~away

I never saw this milestone coming!!
Let's celebrate anyhow.
I'm incredibly grateful for blogland.  I can be ME
and it is A..OK!  I've enjoyed meeting peeps from all over the globe, what a blessing.
Blogland may be all that could have helped me see that being me is all I can be and it is a glorious thing.
The moment I spotted this tassel at TJMaxx and saw that there were 2 of them I immediately thought..1 for you and 1 for me.  It's luscious!  There was a collectible section in the back near the gardening/Spring area and I think it was the 1st time I've seen them there also girls.  It says it is a Demdaco company.
Same as the Willow Tree collection that my nativity is in.
I embellished a desk top sign/flower and a notepad matchbook with 1 of my favorite words..BLOOM.  I used scrapbooking supplies to do both.  I also got some hot pink and polka dot cupcake liners and there is a tag from a terrific vintage etsy shoppe, a martini nail file and a big fat bunny to eat or feed your beagle. (just kidding)

I think we have ourselves a give~away.
That's it...Buttercup..
Just leave me a comment and I'll put your name in a pot.
Make sure I can figure out how to holler at ya if ya win.  I'll try to make it until Sat and announce Sun.

Bunny foo~foo

A happy Spring morning at Beagle Run Cottage..
Hand wash goodness!
I found this bunny at that resale/home store..Hidden Treasures.
Immediately, my mind raced back to a biscuit bunny...

I got this idea from Christi at A Southern Life.
I improvised using small and grand biscuit cans and also ripped and formed the ears.  The hearts cooked more like rocks for the bunnies to hide under or hurl at Beagles.  lol
Ok, Ok..my bunny butts are not as cute as hers turned out.
I even had to toothpick a few tails in place...my bad.

Strawberry goodness!
Yumm~O!!
We were biscuit eatin' fools on this a.m.

I did not let Jack Beagle at any of our bunnies.  But, there were bunnies harmed in the shootin' pic session and eatin' of our breakfast.  lol!!

Girls, I'm so excited...almost 100 followers..give~away in works.
